Have You a Poor Water Supply?

Lead water mains were commonly installed into properties constructed before 1970 and there can be many disadvantages for properties served with water through lead water supply pipes.

• Lead contaminated water (see www.dwi.gov.uk)
• Poor water pressure
• Poor flow to the property
• Repeat leaks on the service main

Replacing the service main (the water main from the boundary to the property) can eliminate all these disadvantages. Once this work has been done United Utilities will then replace the section of water main they are responsible for (communication pipe).
